Facebook has most of its income from displaying advertisement in various forms even thought its a social networking site where users connect to their peers and family members. They have developed an extremely creative Business model which not only helps them to run their site but also values its users. About Facebook Sponsored(Stories) Ads:
Facebook has made itself in such a position where businesses, advertisers now invest not for displaying their website ads but ads to attract "Likes" to their Facebook Pages.
But with its creative set of money making ideas, it has introduced something called Sponsored Stories Social Advertisement.
Basically here along with the ads it displays the profile picture and name of your Facebook friends who have also liked the Advertisement's Facebook page.

How to Remove Facebook Name, Picture from Facebook Sponsored Ads:
1. Removing Profile Name and Picture from Facebook Social Advertisement:
Step 1: Go to Facebook Settings > Ads or Click Here .
Step 2: Under "Ads and Friends" section, Click on "Edit" and change the setting "Pair my social actions with ads for" from "Only My Friends" to "No one".
About this Setting change:
This setting states that when you will like any Facebook page, events or apps your profile name and picture will be liable to used in Sponsored advertisements.
2. Removing Profile Name and Picture from Facebook Third Party Advertisement:
Step 1: Go to the same Facebook Settings > Ads page.
Step 2: Under "Third Party Sites" section, Click on "Edit" and change the setting "If we allow this in the future, show my information to" From "Only My Friends" to "No one".
About this Setting Change:
This setting states that when you will like any Third Party Apps or websites, your profile name and picture will be liable to used in Sponsored advertisements.

After changing these two setting you can sit back and relax. Now your Profile name and picture will no more be used in Sponsored ads.
